The Lilly B Polished Project Story
‘In June 2018, our daughter Lilly aged 8, was diagnosed with a rare and terminal brain tumour DIPG.
Our lives were turned upside down and our norm became, scans, blood tests, radiotherapy, trial medicines and a whole lot of hospital visits.
At the end of seven weeks of radiotherapy sessions, our friends gifted Lilly and I a pamper session at Polished.
Lilly was so excited to go and get her nails done professionally!
After our initial visit we were very kindly invited back by Amy at Polished as many times as we would like, free of charge.
For Lilly this was a wonderful and very well deserved treat. Lilly opted for rainbow nails and giggled most of her way through her pedicure.
At this time for me, pampering was the last thing on my mind, which made the treatments all the more special.
Amy and the staff at Polished made our visits so relaxed and enjoyable. Not only did we go away with gorgeous nails it was precious time and special memories for me with Lilly.’
‘As soon as the girls from The Greenhouse, Godalming contacted me about buying a gift voucher for Lilly and Lara I knew I wanted to help Lara in anyway I could. Since becoming a mother myself in February 2017 I couldn’t even begin to imagine what Lara must be going through.
This is how Lara and I between us came up with ‘Lilly B Polished’ and we are launching this charitable service on Monday 10th June 2019 as it falls on Lillys birthday.’
What is The Lilly B Polished Project?
Lara and I came up with the idea of setting up a pamper project in memory of Lilly to help raise funds and awareness for DIPG .
